Secondary Education
The Office of Secondary Education assists with the management of the two (2) high schools, two (2) middle schools, one (1) career and technical Center, and one (1) alternative education program located in the communities of Gautier and Pascagoula, which comprise the Pascagoula-Gautier School District. The schools serve diverse student populations with district curriculum and programs designed to meet the needs of all students. PGSD secondary schools follow college and career ready standards designed to enhance student-centered curriculum and reflect state and national content standards. We are proud to offer specialized programs in English, math, advanced placement, dual credit, art, music, extracurricular activities, and ample resources for students with disabilities. Our curriculum, computer labs, Chromebooks, facilities. and school-based programs at secondary schools, offer students a balanced view of their chosen career paths. School counselors and district health nurses provide students support and care. We are proud of our wide variety of learning experiences and activities designed around students' choice and are evaluated by highly qualified, trained, and motivated teachers. It is our mission to provide challenging learning opportunities to prepare our students to be productive citizens in their communities and beyond!
