Welcome to the Pascagoula-Gautier School District. Our school district has been providing educational opportunities to young people for more than a century. Our communities offer a rich history with many accomplished people from a variety of backgrounds. We are located in Mississippi’s Flagship City and Nature’s Paradise. Our district includes two cities with one of the greatest industrial bases in America. Our rich history blends with the backdrop of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is separated by the Pascagoula River with something for every kind of sportsman. Boating, hunting, and fishing are all part of our local culture.
Our school district has an accomplished early childhood program with the nationally recognized Aaron Jones Family Interactive Center located on the footprint of historic Carver High School. We are the proud recipients of America’s Promise 100 Best Communities for Young People from 2010 to 2012, a designation bestowed by Alma Powell. Our two high schools were both recognized as NCLB National Blue Ribbon High Schools in 2005. We are a Project Lead the Way District with all our students involved in engineering modules from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Our district recently developed the Bridge Academies as part of our College and Career Technical Institute. These academies provide students with career pathways. We have one of the highest numbers of vocational offerings in the state of Mississippi and multiple partnerships where our students can participate in internships and obtain certifications. This is balanced with our Advanced Placement offerings and the opportunity for our students to obtain an associate’s degree while completing their high school diploma.
We are a one-to-one student technology district, and we pride ourselves on providing our students and teachers with multiple platforms to develop their skills. Our students may take Unmanned Aerial Systems, Cybersecurity, and Logistics--only a small sampling of student options.
The best attribute of our district is the level of care we have for our students. Our goal is to create pathways for all children to pursue their dreams. We hope that you will visit our website, social media, and actually schedule an appointment to visit one of our many campuses. We have completed upgrades on every campus - modernizing facilities, upgrading technology, and improving venues for the performing arts and sports complexes.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our district!
